Brand and website for a trail-running club

A playful identity for a community of 400 runners, plus a site that handles sign-ups for weekly runs.

Role

Brand designer

Duration

6 weeks

Team

Solo

Outcome

Membership grew from 400 to 1,100 in a year

Rove started as a group chat and became a club. They needed something to print on jerseys and a site that could take sign-ups without a volunteer copying names into a spreadsheet.

Identity

The mark is a contour line that doubles as an R. It works at jersey size, as a sticker and as a 16 px favicon. Colours are high-visibility by design: these people run in forests at dusk.

Website

The site lists the week's runs, each with a route map, a pace group and a sign-up button that writes directly to the club's calendar. Members see their own history; organisers see who is coming.

Results

Membership grew from 400 to 1,100 in a year. The jerseys sold out twice.
